OP Real Estate Asset Management Ltd. Sustainability Report 2025 has been published
OP Real Estate Asset Management Ltd.’s 2025 sustainability review summarizes the company’s progress in managing a more sustainable real estate portfolio. The year 2025 marked a shift towards a “new normal,” in which energy efficiency and comprehensive ESG analysis have become an integral part of all investment projects.
Although market conditions have necessitated adjustments, the company has achieved significant milestones on the path toward its 2030 carbon neutrality goal. Since 2024, all electricity and heat purchased for the properties has consisted of green energy verified by guarantees of origin; this means that carbon neutrality regarding purchased energy has already been achieved based on market-based calculations.
During 2025, OP Real Estate Asset Management focused particularly on the quality of ESG data and increasing renewable energy production. The property portfolio now includes 31 solar power plants and 27 geothermal and air-to-water heat pump systems. Circular economy practices have also been strengthened: the portfolio contains 27 timber-structured properties, and the number of environmentally certified properties has risen to 13.
The company views improving energy efficiency and carrying out sustainable renovations as productive ways to create added value for real estate investments. Office leasing activity picked up towards the end of the reporting period, and collaboration with tenants has intensified—including through the use of “green lease” clauses aimed at reducing energy consumption and emissions.
